90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’s Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee just revealed through social media that they have suffered a tragic miscarriage. This was Deavan’s second child with Jihoon.
The young couple that is featured on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way first met in person after hitting it off on a dating app; Deavan was from Salt Lake City, while Jihoon lived in South Korea. After speaking for a couple of months, Lee took the leap and went to visit Deavan in Utah. Lee stayed in the US for three months and it was revealed on the last day that he had gotten Deavan pregnant. Lee later proposed to Deavan when he came back and visited her in Las Vegas with his mother and father, who were there to approve of the union. On 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Deavan moved with her daughter from a previous relationship, Drassilla, and her baby, Taeyang to Korea to be close to Jihoon and his family.
Deavan has been living in Seoul, South Korea since the two got married and it was leaked that Deavan was expecting her second child with Jihoon. The news was leaked after Deavan posted on a private group that was based in Korea for English-speaking residents. The posts were of Deavan asking about her asking about how health insurance works in Korea without international insurance while being pregnant. The information was leaked and at the end of September, Deavan had confirmed the pregnancy. On October 9th, both Jihoon and Deavan went to Instagram to share the tragic news that they have lost the baby. See the heartbreaking post below:
Deavan posted a picture of an ultrasound picture of their baby with the caption reading, “A lot of people have been asking if I am pregnant. I haven’t address this head on yet.” She wrote, leading up to the tragic news. “I want to first start of by saying, thank you so much for your support and love. With heavy hearts we have to announce sad news.” The post continued on, reading, “Last Monday we did end up losing our baby.” Deavan and Jihoon write, “We are heart broken” and “focusing on healing.” The couple then apologizes to their fans for not telling them sooner, but said that they “needed time to heal as a family.” The couple then addressed the fact that they’re aware of all of the other couples that have suffered losing a child and they reached out to them by saying that they “wish everyone who has suffered through this same situation happiness and healing.” In conclusion, the young couple wrote, “We are healing and doing better, and want to thank everyone for your support during this very difficult time.” The message signed off with, “Deavan, and Jihoon.”
As one of the fan-favorite couples on the popular TLC show, the news that they were having another baby came as such a happy surprise for fans knowing that extending their family was a goal of theirs. It comes as an even bigger shock to fans to hear that the 90 Day Fiancé couple had suffered a miscarriage.
